On 15th February 2018, leaders, activists, and change-makers gathered at the prestigious Constitution Club of India, New Delhi, to champion a vital cause: the empowerment, education, and protection of the girl child. Our national seminar, "BETI HAI TO KAL HAI" (Our Daughters Shape Our Tomorrow), served as a powerful platform for advocacy, dialogue, and systemic change. ✨ Honored Guests & Dignitaries The event was graced by pioneering voices in child rights and social welfare, whose insights continue to guide our mission: Smt. Stuti Narain Kackar – Hon'ble Chairperson, National Commission for Protection of Child Rights (NCPCR) Smt. Sushma Sahu – Hon'ble Member, National Commission for Women (NCW) Prof. Vikram Dutt – Renowned Social Activist & Inclusive Pedagogy Advocate ...alongside distinguished dignitaries, grassroots champions, and experts from diverse professional fields. 📖 Launch of "Laavanya" (Volume 2) A major highlight of the seminar was the official inauguration of our annual souvenir, Laavanya (Volume 2). Launched by our esteemed panel of guests, this volume captures critical perspectives on gender equity, community mobilization, and the roadmap for shifting metrics from basic survival to true empowerment for girls. 🙏 A Heartfelt Thank You A seminar of this scale succeeds only through collective willpower. State-Level Workshop on "Protect Girl Child & Promote Adoptions"

On 19th November 2010, Deep Welfare Organisation, in collaboration with the Delhi Commission for Protection of Child Rights (DCPCR), organized a full-day consultative workshop titled "Protect Girl Child & Promote Adoptions" at the India International Centre (IIC Annexe), Max Mueller Marg, New Delhi. Organized on the birth anniversary of Late Smt. Indira Gandhi, the workshop served as a state-level platform bringing together policymakers, statutory bodies, legal experts, academics, and grassroots practitioners to address the dual crises of declining child sex ratios and procedural bottlenecks in institutional adoption.

National Seminar: "Protect Girl Child Through Health & Education"

In Indian society, deeply entrenched patriarchal norms continue to affect reproductive attitudes and child-rearing practices. Pervasive social practices, such as dowry, have historically reinforced the perception of daughters as financial liabilities, giving rise to cultural notions like ‘Paraya Dhan’ for girls versus ‘Budhape ki Lathi’ for sons.
